The Stewart Family Bible, 1836 - 1935, Fayette County GA, Shelby County AL and Hopkins County TX.

An 1852 copy of the New Testament published by Carlton & Phillips 200 N Clancy Street New York. This transcription was copied exactly with no editing.

The Bible is currently in the possession of Patricia Stewart Fairchild. She received it from Ollie Dola Stewart (though Ollie died when Pat was two), who received it from her father Joseph Coleman Stewart. Pat maintains that is was Joseph's Bible. I agree that it was his in terms of possession, but since it chronicles the Daniel Stewart family, rather than the Joseph Stewart family, I believe it to be the Daniel Stewart family Bible.

The Bible is in poor condition, though the pages themselves are largely unthumbed and unmarked. Within the pages are pressed a shock of long dark brown or black hair and a single red rose.

Sarah J. Stewart & John Martin was married on the 23rd day of May 1858 in Shelby County Ala.

Mariah C. Stewart and Hogan Wadsworth was married March the 6th 1862, Alabama Shelby County

Nathaniel Clifton & Sarah J. Martin was married June the 18, 1869 in Hopkins County Texas

Robert Rabey & L.C. Stewart was married June the 27, 1871 in Hopkins County Texas

Effa M Stewart was married to J.H. Posey October the 21st 1875 in Hopkins Co Texas
