William Henry Coleman served in Company E, 1st Texas Regiment, Infantry, Hood's Division, Longstreet's Corps, Army of Northern Virginia. He enlisted in New Orleans 6 JUN 1861 from that time until the surrender at Appomattox Court House in 1865. This is according to his Confederate Pension Record, signed by fellow soldiers T.H. Langley and S.F. Perry before the County Judge of Harrison County, Texas, 12 JAN 1903.
