In 1910 "Minta" and Joseph A. Davidson are listed on Pacific Avenue in the Dallas census with children Roy, 6; Clyde, 4; ? a daughter, 2; and Bunyon, 1-9/12. Also living with them is V.M. Barton, 31, a nephew. Barton is a bookkeeper at a Gin Company. Joseph is a street car conductor. In 1920, the family is in Houston, under J.A., but a lazy census taker only scribbled initials. In 1930 the family (under Joe A.) is in Refugio County - Joe A., Minter L., Bunyan, 21; Ruby, 15; Beatrice, 9.
Allen Rites Set Monday
RISING STAR (BBC)-Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph Allen (Minta Lula Posey) Davidson, 76, of Rising Star will be a 10:30 a.m. Monday at Higginbotham Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Davidson died at 3:45 a.m. Saturday at her home.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. H.K. Neeley. Burial will be in the Rising Star Cemetery.
A resident of the county for seven years, Mrs. Davidson was born Jun 13, 1884 in Albany, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Crockett. She and Davidson were married Nov. 23, 1902 at Cedar Hill
Survivors are her husband, three sons, Roy Davidson of Victoria, Clyde Davidson of Kingsville; three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Parson of Houston, Mrs. Ruby Ford of Pasadena, and Mrs. Willy Reynolds of San Antonio; and two grandchildren. * "Minter" or "Minta"might be a nickname, or derivation, for Araminta, the name of her maternal grandmother.
