A Parker Williams, 19, is two properties away, working as a laborer. Next door to Tabitha Williams are Wade H[ampton] Williams (a brother) and his wife and child.

Newton Commodore was most likely named for Margaret Jane Maxwell's younger brother Newton Thomas Maxwell, and for John Henry William's older brother Commodore Decatur Williams.

J.H. Williams served the Confederacy in 15th Regiment, Arkansas Infantry (Northwest), Company G. He began as a private and ended as a lieutenant. He served with Commodore Decatur Williams, James Harvey Maxwell, and others in their families.
